Jakub Gąsowski’s performance on The Voice of Poland divides viewers

Jakub Gąsowski’s performance of the Oasis song ‘Wonderwall’ during the battle rounds of the 17th season of ‘The Voice of Poland’ has sparked significant debate among viewers and social media users.

Performing alongside Gosia Stępień under the coaching of Kuba Badach, Gąsowski faced mixed reactions. While some fans praised his vocal potential and expressed regret over his eventual departure from the competition, others criticized the song choice and the execution of the duet. Some viewers described the performance as a ‘misfire’ or suggested the song was ‘massacred,’ while supporters offered encouragement for his musical ambitions.

Gąsowski, who previously advanced through the blind auditions with a jazz standard, was eventually ‘stolen’ by Michał Szpak but ultimately left the program after losing the duel to Stępień.
