Jakub Hostek seeks Benešov mayoralty after election victory

Jakub Hostek, leader of the Benešov for Life association, has emerged as a key figure in the Benešov municipal elections after his group received the highest level of voter support. Hostek, who has served as deputy mayor since 2022 and works professionally as a security director, intends to enter post-election negotiations with the ambition of securing the position of mayor.

Hostek’s current responsibilities as deputy mayor include overseeing education, social services, housing, culture, sports, and the management of projects funded by state and European grants. He has expressed a commitment to the city's development and intends to begin working on coalition formations immediately following the election results.
