Jakub Menšík defeats Francisco Cerúndolo at Shanghai Masters

Francisco Cerúndolo was eliminated from the Shanghai Masters following a three-set loss to Czech player Jakub Menšík. The match ended 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, marking the end of the tournament for Argentine representatives.

Menšík secured his place in the round of 16, where he is scheduled to face France’s Arthur Gea. This victory was notable as it was Menšík’s first win against Cerúndolo, who had won their previous three encounters.

Cerúndolo’s exit follows a successful season that included winning the Argentina Open and the title at Queen’s Club. His departure from Shanghai concludes his current Asian hard-court swing.
