Jakub Żurek departs ROW Rybnik amid squad restructuring

Speedway junior Jakub Żurek has officially announced his departure from ROW Rybnik. After a successful season where he contributed 53 points and 6 bonuses across 14 league matches, the 19-year-old will not be part of the club for the 2027 cycle.

Żurek’s exit is part of a broader squad restructuring at Rybnik. The club has previously signaled departures for Jesper Knudsen, Kacper Tkocz, and Nicolai Klindt.

In broader league news, several riders experienced significant performance declines in the 2026 season compared to 2025. Maksym Drabik, following his transfer to GKM Grudziądz, saw his average drop from 2.136 to 1.753 points per heat. Other notable regressions include Damian Ratajczak and Piotr Pawlicki, while Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra saw multiple riders, including Leon Madsen, experience a decline in scoring averages.
