Jakub Wieszczak retires from speedway due to health issues

Jakub Wieszczak, a 20-year-old speedway rider for Cellfast Wilki Krosno, has announced his retirement from the sport due to ongoing health issues.

Wieszczak stated that despite various treatment approaches, his current medical condition prevents him from continuing his professional career. He noted that the recovery process required to regain full strength would likely prevent him from being able to compete at a high level by the 2027 season.

His career highlights include winning silver medals in the 2025 Team Polish Junior Championships. His departure is expected to impact the Krosno team's roster, with Radosław Kowalski and Oskar Kręglicki likely forming the primary duo next season.
