Jalandhar lab owner arrested for US visa document forgery
Delhi Police has arrested a laboratory owner from Jalandhar, Punjab, for allegedly forging documents used in US visa applications. The suspect, identified as Sarban Singh, owns the Johshi Clinical Laboratory in Lohian Khas.
The investigation began after the US Embassy’s Regional Security Office reported that a 22-year-old woman, Simranjit Kaur, had submitted a fraudulent lab technician experience certificate during her visa application process. Upon questioning, Kaur reportedly disclosed that Singh provided the fake certificate in exchange for 8,000 rupees.
During a raid at the laboratory, police recovered a CPU believed to have been used to create the forged documents. Authorities are currently investigating the extent of the conspiracy and whether other individuals are involved in the fraudulent scheme.
