Jalen Hurts reflects on leadership and Eagles success

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts recently reflected on his career and mindset in an interview with GQ. Discussing his approach to leadership and performance, Hurts noted that he often focuses more on his failures and disappointments than his victories, stating, “Sometimes I feel like there haven’t even been any wins, because you get so attached to the losses and how you can improve from those.”

Hurts, known for a stoic and measured demeanor, visited the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps—the site of the Eagles’ championship parade route—to reflect on his first Super Bowl win. He remarked that the true enjoyment of such achievements often does not arrive until after the process is complete.

On the field, Hurts enters the upcoming season under a new offensive scheme designed by coordinator Sean Mannion. Since 2022, Hurts has recorded 138 total touchdowns, ranking second only to Josh Allen. He has also maintained a streak of four consecutive seasons with at least 30 combined passing and rushing touchdowns.
