Houston Texans safety Jalen Pitre has been diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his shoulder following the team's Week 5 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Pitre was forced to leave the game during the second half due to the injury.

According to reports, Pitre is considered week-to-week. While the injury may cause him to miss the upcoming Week 6 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the diagnosis avoids a worst-case scenario or a lengthy stint on injured reserve.

Pitre has been a key component of the Texans' defense this season, playing in over 90% of defensive snaps. Through five games, he has recorded 24 tackles and five pass breakups.
