Jalen Suggs diagnosed with mild bone bruise in right knee
Orlando Magic point guard Jalen Suggs will miss at least two weeks after sustaining a right knee injury during a game against the New York Knicks. The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter when Suggs' knee appeared to buckle during a transition layup attempt.
Medical evaluations confirmed the diagnosis as a mild bone bruise, noting that Suggs avoided major structural damage. He is scheduled to be reevaluated in two weeks. Following the incident, Magic head coach Sean Sweeney reported that Suggs was in good spirits.
The injury comes at a difficult time for Orlando, as star forward Paolo Banchero is also sidelined with a high ankle sprain. Anthony Black is expected to take over starting point guard duties in Suggs' absence.
