Jalisco authorities implement security training and regional operations
Law enforcement agencies in Jalisco, Mexico, have undertaken new initiatives to strengthen regional security. A total of 69 state and municipal police officers completed a specialized certification program focused on crime scene preservation, evidence handling, and forensic analysis. Conducted by the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences, the 80-hour training aims to improve the identification and protection of physical, biological, chemical, and ballistic evidence to ensure successful criminal investigations.
In separate security operations, the State Prosecutor's Office coordinated inter-institutional checkpoints in the municipalities of Ameca and Jesús María. These operations involved inspecting dozens of vehicles and motorcycles to verify legal status and check for stolen property or outstanding arrest warrants. The efforts resulted in the seizure of 13 units due to administrative and traffic violations, including vehicles lacking proper documentation and motorcycles failing to comply with road regulations.
