Jalisco authorities locate three missing students in Puerto Vallarta

Three teenagers – 18‑year‑old Flor Yoselin Espinoza Contreras, 17‑year‑old José Israel Ramos Mejía and 14‑year‑old Elvira Monserrat Guzmán Mascorro – were reported missing on 25 June in the coastal municipality of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. After a four‑day search involving the state’s Vice‑Fiscalía de Personas Desaparecidas, field investigations, and analysis of family phone contacts, the students were found alive on 6 July in the locality of El Zancudo. They arrived on their own to a relative’s home and were confirmed to be in good health.

The Jalisco Fiscalía announced that the active search operations have been concluded, but the case remains under investigation to determine the circumstances of their disappearance. Authorities reiterated their commitment to rapid response for future missing‑person reports.
