Jalisco government consults families of missing persons for peace program

The Government of Jalisco, through the Secretariat of Planning and Citizen Participation, held a meeting titled ‘Dialogues for Territorial Peace’ to consult families and collectives of missing persons. The goal is to incorporate their experiences and proposals into the State Program for a Culture of Peace 2026-2029.

This initiative is part of a series of 18 regional encounters designed to identify community needs, improve institutional relationships, and strengthen coordination between government agencies. Cynthia Cantero Pacheco, Secretary of Planning and Citizen Participation, emphasized that the dialogue aims to identify necessary institutional changes and support systems to ensure public policy responds to the realities of social cohesion and coexistence.
