Jalisco joins the World Travel & Tourism Council as a Destination Partner

Jalisco has formally joined the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) as a Destination Partner. This global organization represents the travel and tourism sector to governments and decision-makers, comprising over 200 CEOs and executives from airlines, hotels, and promotional agencies.

During the WTTC's monthly meeting for the Americas, Jalisco's Secretary of Tourism, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, presented the state's tourism profile. She noted that Jalisco receives more than 34 million visitors annually and utilizes the Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta airports as key international connectivity hubs. The state's offerings include beach destinations, 'Pueblos Mágicos', culture, gastronomy, urban tourism, and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment, with Guadalajara serving as a national leader in business travel.

As part of its initial participation, the state invited WTTC members to ITB Americas, which is scheduled to take place in Jalisco from November 10 to 12, 2026.
