Jalisco PAN honors historic militants amid disability inclusion push

The civic group Patria Ordenada gathered former PAN officials and legislators in Jalisco to honor 22 men and women whose work helped the party win three consecutive state administrations. The ceremony was led by Antonio Gloria Morales and featured a keynote address by former governor Alberto Cárdenas Jiménez, who called for the party to draw on its historical experience as it prepares for the 2027 elections.

Visually‑impaired communicator Bernardo Álvarez took part in the annual Tastoanes festival in Tonalá for the third consecutive year, adapting the traditional performance with assistance from his family. His participation highlighted recent accusations against Governor Pablo Lemus for restricting access to public spaces for people with disabilities, and underscored calls for greater inclusion of disabled citizens in cultural events.
