Jalisco promotes air connectivity and innovation at international forums
The Government of Jalisco is pursuing strategies to enhance international air connectivity and boost technological innovation. At the World Routes 2026 fair in Frankfurt, Germany, a delegation led by Tourism Secretary Michelle Fridman Hirsch met with representatives from over ten international airlines, including Iberia, American Airlines, Condor, Finnair, JetBlue, and Avianca. The goal is to explore new routes and restore suspended connections from Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta to key markets in Europe, North America, and South America.
Simultaneously, the InnovaFest Guadalajara event, organized by the federal Secretariat of Economy, is distributing 3.2 million pesos in prizes to support Mexican innovation. The forum brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and institutions to focus on sectors such as fintech, semiconductors, health, and artificial intelligence. Federal Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard highlighted Jalisco as a leading state for technological and business development during the event.
