Jalisco to host inaugural ITB Americas tourism fair

Jalisco will host the first continental edition of ITB Americas from November 10 to 12 at Expo Guadalajara. The event features approximately 300 companies and organizations from various countries, aiming to position the region as a leader in the meetings and tourism industry.

The fair marks the beginning of a five-year alliance, from 2026 to 2030, with Messe Berlin. As part of this agreement, Messe Berlin will establish its continental office in Guadalajara to coordinate regional strategies. The exhibition will cover seven thousand square meters and follow the German fair model, focusing on specialized meetings and commercial opportunities.

Medellín will participate in the event to promote its cultural, gastronomic, and nature-based tourism. During the fair, it will highlight a new direct flight route between Guadalajara and Medellín, which Volaris is scheduled to begin operating in December 2026. This connection is expected to facilitate travel between Mexico and Colombia, as well as for passengers connecting through Guadalajara from the United States.
