Jalna police seize 41 illegal weapons and arrest one suspect

Police in Jalna, Maharashtra, have seized a large cache of 41 illegal weapons, including 22 swords, 15 daggers, and four choppers. The seizure occurred in the Sundarnagar area of Chandazira following a tip-off from an informant.

Authorities arrested 23-year-old Shaikh Majeed Latif, a resident of Sundarnagar with a prior criminal record. Police believe the weapons were smuggled from Ajmer via bus and were being stored for illegal sale and to incite fear. The estimated market value of the seized items is approximately 134,000 rupees.

A second suspect, identified as Imran, remains at large. Investigators are currently working to determine the original source of the weapons and identify potential buyers.
