Jalore road accident kills man and toddler

A fatal road accident in the Jalore district of Rajasthan claimed the lives of a 25-year-old man and his 18-month-old nephew on Friday night. The incident occurred near the Mandavla toll plaza in the Bishangarh police station area around 8:30 PM.

The victims, identified as Dashrath Meghwal and his nephew Himanshu, were returning to their village, Niblana, on a motorcycle after purchasing sweets and fruits for the Janmashtami festival. The motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley that was parked on the side of the road in the dark.

According to local reports, the toddler had insisted on accompanying his uncle on the trip. Following the collision, police recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. Authorities have seized the motorcycle and the tractor-trolley as part of an ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
