Jamaat-e-Islami leader criticizes government and BNP in Jashore

Mia Golam Parwar, Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, claimed during a rally in Jashore that the current government has destroyed the country in just eight months. Speaking at an 11-party unity long march event, Parwar alleged that the current leadership of Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal maintains the same character as the former Awami League, citing issues such as rising commodity prices, terrorism, extortion, and shortages in fertilizer, gas, and electricity.

Parwar also directed criticism toward the BNP, accusing the party of failing to uphold promises made during the February 12 election and the subsequent referendum. He suggested that the BNP is ignoring the public mandate and criticized their recent initiatives, such as the farmer and family card programs. Parwar called for the government to engage in parliamentary discussions regarding the referendum results and constitutional reforms to resolve the ongoing political crisis.
