Jamaica Empress defeat Guyana Amazon Warriors in WCPL debut

In their Limacol WCPL debut, the Jamaica Empress secured a one-wicket victory over the Guyana Amazon Warriors at Kensington Oval. Chinelle Henry delivered a dramatic finish, hitting back-to-back sixes on the final two deliveries to secure the win after the Empress required eight runs from the last two balls.

The Warriors previously posted a competitive total, bolstered by a 97-run partnership between Realanna Grimmond (45) and Shemaine Campbelle (56). However, the Empress's bowling attack, led by captain Stafanie Taylor and Nonkululeko Mlaba, who took two wickets each, triggered a collapse that saw the Warriors lose five wickets for 22 runs.
