Jamaican authorities recover body of missing St Elizabeth woman

Divers from the Jamaica Defence Force Coast Guard retrieved the partially clothed body of a 50‑year‑old woman who had been missing since Sunday in the Barton Wharf district of Lacovia, St Elizabeth Parish. The woman was identified as Nicole Brown, also reported in earlier coverage as Nicola Rhoden.

Police said her 41‑year‑old partner was confronted by a mob of residents who accused him of killing her and dumping the body in the Black River. He was rescued by police, arrested and taken for medical attention. The recovery follows a police‑led search launched after residents reported the disappearance and alleged missing belongings at the couple’s home.
