Jamaican culture celebrated at Mobay Arts Festival and Kaya Fest

The Mobay Creative Arts Festival held its second staging at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre, featuring music, fashion, and cultural showcases. Organized by Kingston Creative in partnership with several entities including the Jamaica Tourist Board and SAINT International, the event included a headlining performance by Runkus and a runway show featuring designers such as Nina Levy and Lucien Harrison. The festival highlighted emerging global talent, including models signed to agencies in major fashion capitals.

In Canada, Kaya Fest made its debut at the Markham Fairgrounds, celebrating Jamaican culture and reggae music. Despite inclement weather, the event drew significant crowds for performances by artists including Shabba Ranks, Busta Rhymes, and members of the Marley family. The festival also provided a platform for Caribbean-themed vendors to showcase clothing, accessories, and creative works to the Toronto community.
