Jamaican dancehall artists Shenseea and Popcaan reach major milestones

Jamaican dancehall artists are achieving significant international milestones in music and digital streaming. Shenseea was named Best Female Dancehall/Reggae Artiste at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), held in Dallas, Texas. Her win highlights her successful collaborations with African artists such as Wizkid, Fireboy DML, and Shatta Wale.

In a separate achievement, dancehall artist Popcaan has surpassed two billion total views on his official YouTube channel. This milestone makes him the fourth most-viewed living Jamaican artist on the platform, following Sean Paul, Shaggy, and Vybz Kartel. His success is driven by a diverse catalogue, including the track ‘Silence’ from his 2018 album Forever.
