Jamal Musiala returns to training after neurological collapses
Bayern Munich player Jamal Musiala is recovering from a neurological condition after collapsing twice during pre-season friendly matches against RB Leipzig and Heidenheim. Musiala has identified the incidents as absence seizures caused by a neurological dysfunction, noting that the condition is treatable and does not pose an additional health risk to his career.
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany confirmed that Musiala has returned to full team training but will miss the Bundesliga season opener against Stuttgart. The club is currently adjusting Musiala's medication to stabilize his condition. Sporting director Max Eberl noted that the club had been aware of the issue since the previous season, but a recent change in medication triggered the recent on-field episodes.
Germany national team coach Jürgen Klopp has also provided personal support to the 23-year-old, affirming that Musiala remains a central part of his plans for the national team.
