Jambojet resumes daily Nairobi-Entebbe flights after six-year hiatus

Kenyan low-cost carrier Jambojet has resumed daily direct flights between Nairobi and Entebbe, marking its return to the Ugandan market after a six-year hiatus. The service, which had been suspended since 2019, officially restarted with a flight from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Entebbe International Airport.

Officials from both nations welcomed the move. Uganda’s Minister of State for Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, stated the resumption reflects confidence in Uganda’s aviation sector and strengthens the economic and diplomatic ties between the two neighbors. Jambojet CEO Karanja Ndegwa noted that the return aims to support business, tourism, and trade by providing an affordable and reliable travel option.

The revived route is expected to benefit travelers seeking direct connections without the need for road travel or connecting flights, while also serving as a gateway for passengers connecting through Nairobi to other Kenyan destinations.
