Jambojet resumes Nairobi-Entebbe flights to boost regional connectivity

Kenyan low-cost carrier Jambojet has resumed its daily flight service between Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport. The airline had previously suspended this route during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jambojet Board Chairperson Patricia Ithau stated that the return is driven by strong demand and opportunities to scale within the East African market. The resumption aims to strengthen regional connectivity for business, tourism, and trade between Kenya and Uganda.

The return coincides with record-breaking passenger traffic at Entebbe International Airport, which handled approximately 2.49 million international passengers in 2025. Uganda’s Minister of Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, welcomed the move, noting that increased air connectivity provides travelers and exporters with more affordable access to Kenya and broader networks.
