James Blunt announces new album ‘Airplane Mode’ and 2027 tour

British singer-songwriter James Blunt has announced his eighth studio album, titled ‘Airplane Mode’, which is scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, via Atlantic Records. The announcement follows the release of his second new single, ‘Weight Of It All’, a track exploring the emotional pressures of modern life. This follows the August release of ‘Tastes Like Summer’.

The album was largely recorded at Pig Music Studios in Banbury with his long-standing live band. The standard edition will feature twelve songs, while a deluxe ‘Red Eye Edition’ will include four additional tracks.

To support the release, Blunt has announced the ‘Airplane Mode Tour 2027’. The tour includes a UK arena leg running from March 26 to April 8, 2027, and various dates across Europe in February and March, including stops in Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Hungary. Tickets are set to go on sale on September 9.
