Daniels notes that the agent's arsenal is as essential to the character as his clothing or vehicles.

Cinematic shifts in the franchise are also highlighted by the evolution of gambling scenes. While early films and Ian Fleming’s novels focused on baccarat and roulette, the 2006 film “Casino Royale” transitioned the series toward Texas Hold’em to better engage modern audiences. To ensure authenticity, the production utilized poker professional Thomas Sanbrook to coach the cast, including Daniel Craig and Mads Mikkelsen, on chip handling and psychological gameplay.
