James Bond game '007 First Light' tops 3 million sales, sequel possibility discussed

The 2026 release 007 First Light from IO Interactive has been hailed as one of the year’s best video games, blending the classic James Bond tone with modern design. Within two weeks the title moved more than 3 million copies worldwide, drawing praise for its balance of humour and seriousness.

Amazon Games head Jeff Gattis told reporters at Summer Game Fest that, while he has not confirmed Amazon will publish a follow‑up, market demand makes a sequel likely and “it seems a sequel should be made”.
