James Bond game 'First Light' launches, inspires new Omega watch
IO Interactive released the James Bond video game First Light, introducing a young 007 who confronts a militarised AI as the British intelligence service re‑introduces its 00 program. The game blends stealth‑focused missions with fast‑paced action, letting players explore open‑ended objectives, infiltrate locations and make tactical choices. It is positioned as a modern reinterpretation of the franchise under Amazon MGM Studios, highlighting the human element of espionage against a backdrop of quantum‑AI tools.
Coinciding with the game’s launch, Omega unveiled a special‑edition Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph modeled directly on the in‑game watch. The replica retains the 44 mm case, Calibre 9900 movement and black ceramic dial, but adds a 9‑karat bronze‑gold sub‑dial, red‑script branding and game‑inspired NATO straps. Priced at $9,400, the piece comes in a display box mirroring the game’s presentation and offers multiple strap colour options for real‑world customisation.
