James Cook faces scrutiny over fumbles ahead of Bills vs. Raiders matchup

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook enters Week 6 facing scrutiny over ball security despite a highly productive season. Cook has accumulated 532 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season, averaging 5.6 yards per rush. However, he has recorded four fumbles this year, including two during a recent victory against the Los Angeles Rams.

Bills head coach Joe Brady addressed recent comments regarding Cook’s playing time, clarifying that while ball security is a priority, he does not intend to reduce Cook’s carries. Brady emphasized that he wants to avoid making the player timid and noted that Cook remains one of the most dynamic offensive weapons in the league.

The Las Vegas Raiders must prepare for Cook’s impact in their upcoming matchup. The Raiders' defense has struggled against the run this season, ranking 28th in the NFL by allowing 140.6 rushing yards per game and 5.2 yards per rush.
