James Corden and Ruth Jones announce cast for Apple TV+ series ‘The Choir’

Creators James Corden and Ruth Jones have announced the cast for their upcoming eight-part Apple TV+ comedy-drama, ‘The Choir’. The series marks the first collaboration between the duo since the conclusion of the highly successful BBC sitcom ‘Gavin & Stacey’.

The ensemble cast features Jason Watkins and Tom Davis, with guest appearances by James McAvoy, Hannah Waddingham, and Jim Broadbent. The production is being handled by Various Artists Limited and TidyTwo.

The plot centers on estranged siblings Ben (played by Corden) and Lisa (played by Jones). After living apart for many years—with Ben residing abroad—Ben is forced to return to his small hometown and his family following unexpected events. The series is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere on Apple TV+ in 2027.
