James Desborough on trial for Cornwall double murder and body dismemberment
James Desborough, 40, is facing trial at Winchester Crown Court for the murder and dismemberment of two men, Daniel Coleman and Claudio Aquilino, in Cornwall. Prosecutors said the killings occurred between April and July 2025, after both victims lived with Desborough at a multi‑occupancy property in Newquay. Parts of the dismembered bodies were found in Paramoor Woods near Sticker, where Desborough lived in a cabin. After the murders he accessed the victims’ bank accounts and spent their money, including a train ticket to London. Desborough has pleaded guilty to preventing the lawful burial of the bodies but denies the murder charges.
