James Duckworth advances to Winston-Salem Open semifinals

James Duckworth has advanced to the semifinals of the Winston-Salem Open after defeating Lorenzo Sonego 7-5, 6-3. The victory provides the Australian with revenge for previous losses to the Italian at Wimbledon and Eastbourne.

Duckworth will face fourth seed Arthur Fery in the semifinal match. Fery reached the final four following a 6-3, 6-3 victory over qualifier Mees Rottgering. Both players are competing for their first ATP Tour final appearance.
