James May’s 1993 Honda CBR900RR motorcycle listed for auction
British presenter James May, known from Top Gear and The Grand Tour, has placed his 1993 Honda CBR900RR on the market. The bike, which May bought in 2013 from the David Silver Honda Collection after originally being acquired in Spain, shows 13,780 miles (22,000 km) on the odometer. It has been serviced, fitted with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 tyres and now carries an aluminium exhaust. The auction, run by Iconic Motorbike Auctions, lists the motorcycle at £5,600 (about €6,550) and includes two keys and the original documentation.
May’s vehicle collection also features a Ferrari 458 Speciale, a Triumph Stag and an Alpine A110, which were highlighted in a recent feature on his garage. The auction of the CBR900RR adds a rare, high‑performance sport bike to the public market.
