Penticton City Councillor James Miller has been found guilty of multiple charges of sexual interference and one count of invitation to sexual touching. The offences occurred in Ontario during the 1990s while Miller was serving as a coach for the Sarnia Mini-Colts basketball team.

Ontario Superior Court Justice Russell Raikes delivered the verdict on September 18. The ruling addressed two of the three complainants involved in the case. While Miller was acquitted of two charges related to an incident following a trip to Detroit due to jurisdictional doubts and reasonable doubt regarding the trip's occurrence, he was found guilty of five remaining charges.

A decision regarding a third complainant is expected on October 2 following a hearing before a different justice.
