James Morrison and The Fratellis cancel Kelpies Live shows

Singer-songwriter James Morrison and rock band The Fratellis have cancelled their scheduled headline performances at the Kelpies Live concert series in Helix Park, Falkirk. The cancellations affect shows originally set for Friday, September 4, and Sunday, September 6.

Both acts cited a failure by the event promoters to meet specific commitments as the reason for their withdrawal. The Fratellis announced via social media that the decision was necessary because the promoters were “unable to fulfill their commitments to the band to perform.” Similarly, Morrison’s team indicated the cancellation was due to the promoter being unable to fulfill commitments, noting the situation was out of the artist's control.

The Kelpies Live website has removed information regarding the gigs, and organizers have stated that ticket holders will be contacted regarding arrangements. While the Friday and Sunday headliners have pulled out, Beluga Lagoon’s scheduled performance on Saturday appears set to proceed.
