James Penraic joins Rangers on loan from AEK Athens

Rangers FC has officially announced the one-year loan signing of 27-year-old Scottish left-back James Penraic from AEK Athens. The player has successfully completed his medical examinations.

Under the terms of the agreement, AEK Athens will receive a loan fee of 500,000 euros. The deal includes an option for Rangers to purchase the player next summer for a fee of 1.5 million euros.

Upon his arrival, Penraic expressed gratitude for his time at AEK, describing his experience winning the championship with the club as “an incredible experience.” He characterized the move to Rangers as a “dream” fulfillment and noted his awareness of the pressure to win titles at the Scottish club.
