James Talarico criticizes Elon Musk's influence in Texas

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico has raised concerns regarding Elon Musk's political investments and potential interest in Texas resources. During an interview, Talarico suggested that Musk's financial support for Republican candidates, including opponent Ken Paxton, is driven by a desire to acquire land and water for AI data centers.

Talarico specifically referenced Musk's interest in state parkland. This follows reports from Texas Monthly regarding a potential sale of 1,300 acres in Cameron County to SpaceX. While Governor Greg Abbott denied claims that Musk sought to purchase Boca Chica State Park to expand his SpaceX compound, he emphasized his administration's commitment to preserving state parkland.
