James Wade withdraws from Hungarian Darts Trophy

Professional darts player James Wade has withdrawn from the Hungarian Darts Trophy taking place at the MVM Dome in Budapest. The decision was made after the tournament draw had already been confirmed.

Wade announced via social media that he is taking a rare weekend off to go fishing with his family. Following his recent victory at the Australian Darts Masters, he decided not to travel to Hungary for this weekend's competition.

Because the withdrawal occurred after the draw, the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has confirmed that Madars Razma will enter the tournament as a replacement. Razma will take Wade's seeded position in the bracket and will begin play in the second round, facing the winner of the match between Martin Schindler and Keane Barry.
