Jameson Taillon leaves game with elbow discomfort during Blue Jays win

Toronto Blue Jays starter Jameson Taillon left Friday night's game against the Kansas City Royals after two innings due to right elbow discomfort. Taillon, who was making his first appearance since being placed on the injured list in August, allowed one run on two hits before exiting.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider indicated that Taillon will undergo an MRI to assess the injury and noted that the pitcher is likely headed back to the injured list.

Despite the injury concern, the Blue Jays defeated the Royals 9-2. Toronto recorded 13 hits during the game, including contributions from Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ernie Clement, and Myles Straw. The victory brings the team's record to 71-71.
