Jamestown Community College reports 7% enrollment increase
Jamestown Community College (JCC) has reported a 7% increase in student enrollment for the fall 2026 semester compared to fall 2025. As of the September 14 census date, the college had 2,115 students, up from 1,979 during the same period last year.
The most significant growth occurred among part-time students, who increased by 25.8%, and online-only students, who saw a 37.9% rise. First-time, full-time enrollment also grew by 6.1%.
College officials attributed part of this growth to the SUNY Reconnect program, which provides free community college to eligible New York adults aged 25 to 55 in high-demand fields such as healthcare, computer technology, education, and advanced manufacturing. Data from the State University of New York indicates that JCC ranked second among SUNY community colleges for overall enrollment growth between fall 2020 and fall 2025.
