Jamia Millia Islamia approves one-year online postgraduate programmes

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has approved the introduction of one-year postgraduate programmes across 13 disciplines through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) modes. These programmes will be administered via the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).

The approved Master of Arts programmes include Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, Human Resource Management, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, and Urdu. Additionally, the university has authorized one-year Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Commerce in Business Management programmes through ODL and online formats.

According to a university order issued by Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi on behalf of the Academic Council, these measures comply with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations. The university has directed relevant departments and officials to implement the necessary actions.
