Jamie Carragher says Manchester City and Arsenal favored, Liverpool and United unlikely to win Premier League

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher told the Football Ramble podcast that Liverpool are not equipped to challenge for the Premier League title this season. He said the club needs at least two defenders and a natural right‑winger, noting the lack of a replacement for Mohamed Salah and questioning the pursuit of left‑winger Bradley Barcola.

Carragher also ruled out Manchester United as a title contender, praising their restrained transfer approach. He identified Manchester City and Arsenal as the only realistic favourites, citing City’s new manager Enzo Maresca and the importance of retaining midfielder Rodri. The pundit concluded that, barring major squad upgrades, Liverpool and United are unlikely to win the league.
