Jamie Chadwick promotes grassroots motorsport for women

Jamie Chadwick, a triple W Series champion, is leading initiatives to increase female participation in grassroots motorsport. Her efforts focus on creating welcoming karting environments for young girls to build a community and foster a passion for racing at an early age.

Chadwick noted that the lack of female representation at the start of racing careers creates a significant disadvantage, as men often begin training as young as four. She emphasized that while more women are entering the sport, it will take time for these grassroots efforts to result in female drivers reaching elite levels like Formula One.

This push for diversity comes as the sport marks 50 years since Lella Lombardi last competed in Formula One in 1976. Lombardi remains the only woman to have finished a Grand Prix in a scoring position.
