Jamie Dimon forecasts $1 trillion in AI infrastructure spending by 2027

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon predicts that spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure by hyperscalers, such as Meta and Amazon, could reach $1 trillion by 2027. This follows a significant increase in investment, rising from approximately $300 billion in 2025 to an estimated $700 billion in 2026.

Dimon noted that this surge in AI investment contributes roughly one percentage point annually to US economic growth. Analysis from Apollo Global Management suggests that AI investments could represent about 3 percent of the US GDP annually between 2027 and 2029, a rate significantly higher than the peak of the telecommunications and fiber-optic expansion in the late 1990s.
