Actor Jamie Foxx has shared details regarding his near-fatal medical emergency in 2023, which involved a brain bleed and a stroke while he was filming in Atlanta. Appearing on the podcast ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer’ alongside his daughter, Corinne Foxx, the 58-year-old Oscar winner described the psychological struggle of his rehabilitation.

Foxx noted that he used comedy as a coping mechanism to deal with memory gaps and the trauma of the event. He explained that he frequently used impersonations of Hollywood peers, such as Denzel Washington, to help find himself during the recovery process. He also expressed frustration with the concept of receiving a “second chance” at life, questioning why the incident happened to him.
