Professional wrestlers face injuries and medical updates
Several professional wrestlers have recently sustained injuries or received medical assistance.
In AEW, Jamie Hayter is sidelined with a major injury sustained during a Chicago Street Fight at All Out. AEW President Tony Khan indicated that Hayter is expected to return to in-ring action in approximately two weeks, which will delay her scheduled AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship defense at WrestleDream.
In WWE, R-Truth suffered a legitimate injury during a SmackDown match against Damian Priest. The match was stopped early after Truth landed awkwardly following a dropkick, prompting the referee to use the medical emergency signal. While the exact nature of the injury has not been officially confirmed, sources suggest he was dazed and required a physical checkup.
Additionally, Stephanie Vaquer is recovering from a legitimate ankle injury sustained during the Money in the Bank event. Reports suggest her absence from the ring is expected to be brief.
In separate news, WWE reportedly covered approximately $44,000 for hip replacement surgery for veteran luchador Psicosis (Dionicio Castellanos). The financial assistance was reportedly spearheaded by Rey Mysterio and approved by WWE President Nick Khan.
