Jamie Vardy scores first goal for Burnley

Jamie Vardy scored his first goal for Burnley during an EFL Championship match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on October 16. The 39-year-old striker opened the scoring in the 20th minute after making a clinical run behind the defense to meet a pass from Jacob Bruun Larsen, finishing with a left-footed shot.

Despite Vardy's goal, Burnley suffered a 1-2 defeat after conceding an equalizer in the 39th minute and a decisive goal in the 72nd minute. Former Japan international Leo Hatate also started the match for Burnley, playing until the 75th minute.
