Jammu and Kashmir announces recruitment for hundreds of government posts

Public service commissions in Jammu and Kashmir have announced multiple recruitment drives for various government positions.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released notifications for 72 vacancies under the PM package for Kashmiri migrants and non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits. These roles span departments including Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, and Education. Positions include 39 Sub-Inspectors, 14 Depot Assistants, 10 Junior Librarians, and others. The online application deadline is September 8.

Separately, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has announced 205 vacancies within the Higher Education Department. This includes 192 Assistant Professor roles across diverse subjects such as Botany, Chemistry, Physics, and English, as well as 9 positions for College Director of Physical Education and Sports and 4 Librarian roles. The application window closes on August 31, with a correction period scheduled for early September.
